2006-03-12 [Dark Adherent]: Yes, we've established the Kitsune. I was under the impression it meant Fox demon because whenever something is called a kitsune, it's usually a fox demon. Tenma, Akuma, and Oni all mean demon, but there are alot of other japanese words that also mean Demon.

2006-03-12 [Jim Fox]: alright -takes deep breath, goes in character- my life at the start was a pretty boring one, as any kid with their urges to be someone, i liked dogfightings a lot, used to watch carto9ons related to jets or battleships, thats when i was a kid, when i grew up as teen my social life screwed up, mostly because i wanted more to be in some kind of squadron, i passed my time talking of it all the time and training with simulators, i always tought it was some kind of tag game, and my skills in the simulators encouraged me to join the CDF (cornerian defence force) at 17 canine years, that would be 3 human years, the training however took me by surprise, i really sucked at first, i wasnt ready for...

2006-03-12 [Jim Fox]: ...all the adrenaline and workout involved in joining a squadron, i coudnt fire a blaster for heavens sake, but my inspiration for all the phenomena, and also seeing someone so goo be a fox like me (that would be fox mcloud mates) i sticked to it, in the simulators in real life i aced in dogfighting, and got an average grade in shooting by foot, i didnt get the other trainings, i wasnt interested heh, as any one that read what in the lylat system happened, a war was started by andross, some monkey guy bio genious whatever, squadrons was deployed and i was sent firsthand to the frontlines of venom, needless to say, it was a horrible experience and i really didnt do any good, exept stayinalive

2006-03-13 [Jim Fox]: in the 2nd attempt, about 1 or 2 years later, i was in a training camp in katina, a small military base precisely for honing newbs to be aces, this time my role was pretty good, we entered in combat mode when some alien ships arrived, they was hostile so yea, i was in bulldog team leadered by Bill Grey, he was pretty damn good i tell you, then entered starfox team, i was amused by their precense (and almost got shot by him...) the issue ended with fox getting in and destroying some mothership, that was actually my last service in the CDF, i wanted to retire, i had enough action, plus some of my family contacted me some months after that incident, now, im just an ol veteran

2006-03-13 [Dark Adherent]: Ah well, I guess for the sake of the previous converstation, I should list my anthros. I have Fenrir, he's a dual god, of lightning, and of wolves. He's got human form, half demon, which is the more anthro-ish part, and then full demon, which is like a huge werewolf, also pretty anthro. Dark Adherent, also has a kitsune in him. Long black hair with silver tips, all 9 tails, black with silver tips, and his coat is more form fitting, with black and silver equally. Then there's keisa. He's a Kitsune-Urufu (Fox-Wolf). He's sort of like a samurai, but he's not -really- a samurai. He has dual katana's named Tetsuna and Setsusemi. He's got long silver hair, with a slight blue tint to it--

2006-03-13 [Dark Adherent]: --and his pants match. A dark blue wrapping for a belt, and he's otherwise semi feral looking. 5 tails, 4 fox and 1 large wolf. Anyhow, it'd be wrong of me to really play DA or Fenrir, because they're just too highly prized and powerful. I'd either have to play in a fashiong that'd be considered god moding, or underplay the hell out of them. Which is why I just talk here as DA. Keisa though, he's not super strong like them, so he'd be more 'acceptable' here.

2006-03-13 [Jim Fox]: to make a char with strenghts and weaknesses and still excel in roleplaying, and even make the character a strong one, thats more than say, an invincible one taking all the crowns

2006-03-13 [Dark Adherent]: It all depends on how you want your stories to go. I have characters on all levels. Keisa, I'd consider him somewhere in the middle. Fenrir and DA are of course at the top, being as how powerful they are. I have several characters, like Element for example. Sure, he has powers, but they're very limited, and he's got semi-super-strength/speed. He's more or less an above average human in terms of physique. Still, I also have a few characters who have no powers, but they belong in my sci-fi realms.

2006-03-13 [Dark Adherent]: That's agreable. That's also why I don't play anything higher than my middle ground characters in a role play. I once though, had a few of my 'supers' come in, but it was kept controlled with the person I was playing with. She also had a character that could be agreed on having the same level of 'strengths'. A good role player would know what characters to play in what situations to keep things going smoothly.

2006-03-13 [Dark Adherent]: Well, it's said reason why I don't play them. ~_^ And don't worry Booted, of course everyone needs to be different. It'd be rather pointless for a roleplay, if all 8 players were samurai's with 1 katana and they all controlled fire. But something that people definately should -not- do is play some freakish god when everyone is a simple character. The Elven mage can barely focus enough power to create a low level fireball and then this new guy joins as a dark knight who can cast all amounts of doomish apocalyptic magic. That's wrong. Personally, I think whoever creates an rp should play the strongest character, and everyone just follow suit with something that compliments or offsets it

2006-03-13 [Dark Adherent]: Ah, that's exactly what keeps me from using alot of my characters. Experience. To be honest, being unstoppable is fun sometimes, it's good to vent some anger, but it's not conventional. Even if I played a character who was meant to be some supreme martial artist or something, I'd do it with style, and not just be like "Zomg I evade all your attack and punch your throat out the back of your head! wtfl33tzomg!! O_o"

2006-03-13 [Dark Adherent]: Ah well, that's sort of power playing, like saying you can't get hurt. And really, if you can legitametly describe something, or how it effects your character, others can't really argue. Knowledge is power, smart people can make better, faster, stronger characters than someone who's got a vocabulary of 10 words. =P

Not on the spot!! >=O) But when someone gets snuck up on, because second-sight, and/or stealth abilities aren't in their profile, and they go "You can't sneak up on me, I'm like a f345ing ninja! You can't do that!" Whiners need to be slapped with a whale...u.u;
